Friday 20 November
Arrival in the Barossa for Weekend and Full Package Riders, and those with the Non-Riding Supporter Package
Arrive in the Barossa
- Be warmly welcomed by the Breakthrough T1D and Novotel Barossa Valley Resort teams as you check in to One Ride registration and collect your hotel access card.
- Assemble your bike with our on-site bike mechanic. Don’t have your own bike? Hire one from a local SA provider (and if you need some extra momentum, electric bikes are permitted).
- Unwind in your beautifully appointed guest room with balcony and stunning views, right in the heart of the Barossa Valley.

Optional day activities
- Make the most of your time in the Barossa – fuel up with some lunch of your own selection at the Cellar Kitchen, enjoy a short training ride, visit the renowned nearby St Hallett Winery, or relax and recharge with a booking at Endota Spa. Maps are available at the Breakthrough T1D registration desk.
- If you’ve been part of One Ride for 4+ years, you’ll be invited to our Foundation Cycling Club (FCC) to celebrate with fellow riders.
Safety briefing
- Attend a safety briefing with Bike SA ahead of your ride the next day.

Inspiring guest sessions
- Our weekend program often includes inspiring sessions focused on mental resilience and riding with purpose, featuring guest speakers and experts from the cycling and T1D community. You might even rub shoulders with decorated professional cyclists!
Welcome drinks and dinner
- Start the evening in style, enjoying a celebratory toast with fellow riders and a carb-loading dinner to prepare for the ride ahead!
