Terms & Conditions
1. These terms and conditions (Terms), including information on how to participate and prize details, apply to the One Ride Donate & Win Giveaway (Promotion). Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms.
2. The promoter is Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) Australia (ACN 002 286 553, ABN 40 002 286 553, DGR 042 753) (Promoter).
3. Entry is open to residents of Australia, excluding:
a) management, employees, directors and contractors of the Promoter, its related bodies corporate, firms or companies associated with the Promotion; and
b) a spouse, de facto spouse, parent, guardian, child or sibling of a person referred to in paragraph 3(a), including natural and non-natural relations (in the opinion of the Promoter).
The Promoter is responsible for determining whether a person is an eligible entrant in its absolute discretion.
4. The Promotion is a game of chance.
Promotion period and entry
5. The Promotion begins at 12:01am AEDT on Thursday, 8 October 2026 and ends at 11:59pm AEDT on Thursday, 29 October 2026 (Promotion Period).
6. To enter, participants must, during the Promotion Period:
a) donate a minimum of $100 to a Breakthrough T1D One Ride 2026 fundraising page; or
b) make a self-donation of a minimum of $100 to their own Breakthrough T1D One Ride 2026 fundraising page.
7. Anonymous donations are eligible for entry provided the donor’s contact information is submitted and can be linked to the eligible donation.
8. Each $100 donated during the Promotion Period earns one entry into the prize draw.
9. Donations in multiples of $100 will receive additional entries. For example, a $100 donation earns one entry, $200 earns two entries, $300 earns three entries, and so on.
10. An eligible entrant may receive multiple entries during the Promotion Period but may win a maximum of one prize.
Prize
11. There are 30 prizes available. Each prize consists of a two-night stay in a studio room at Novotel Barossa Valley Resort from Friday, 20 November to Sunday, 22 November 2026, valued at $780.
12. Each prize includes:
a) two nights’ accommodation in a studio room with a king bed or twin beds and a balcony;
b) breakfast for the winner;
c) access to the resort and its amenities for the duration of the stay; and
d) an invitation to join the One Ride cheering section and finish-line celebration on Saturday, 21 November 2026 between 11:00am and 3:00pm.
13. Check-in is from 2:00pm on Friday, 20 November 2026 and check-out is by 11:00am on Sunday, 22 November 2026.
14. The prize does not include transportation to or from the Barossa Valley. Winners are responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation and any other costs not expressly included in these terms.
15. A winner may request double occupancy. An additional breakfast charge of $40 per person, per day applies to the additional guest. This cost must be paid by credit card prior to the weekend and the additional guest arrangement is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.
16. Winners will be required to provide a valid credit card to Novotel Barossa Valley Resort at check-in to cover incidentals and any other charges incurred during their stay.
17. Other official One Ride events, gatherings, dinners and meals are not included in the prize. Where places are available, winners may be able to attend at their own cost. Attendance must be arranged in advance with the Breakthrough T1D team and is subject to availability.
18. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other items.
Prize draw and notification
19. The 30 winners will be selected by computer-generated random selection on Friday, 30 October 2026.
20. Each eligible entrant may win a maximum of one prize. Once selected as a winner, that entrant will not be eligible to win another prize in the same draw.
21. Winners will be contacted by email and/or phone within 24 hours of the draw.
22. Winners must confirm acceptance of their prize within five business days of being notified.
23. The Promoter will make all reasonable attempts to contact each winner. If a winner does not accept their prize within five business days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a redraw for that prize.
24. The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternate winner if it determines, in its sole discretion, that a winner does not satisfy these Terms.
25. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
General conditions
26. The Promoter and its promotional partners are not responsible for any loss or damage in relation to a prize once it has been awarded, except to the extent that liability cannot be excluded by law.
27. If for any reason the Promotion is incapable of being run as planned, including due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
28. Any eligible entrant who, in the opinion of the Promoter, tampers or interferes with the entry mechanism, engages in unlawful or improper conduct that jeopardises or is likely to jeopardise the fair or proper conduct of the Promotion, or does not properly comply with the entry process, will be ineligible to receive a prize.
29. The Promoter will use personal information provided in connection with an entry to administer the Promotion, contact winners and award prizes. Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s applicable privacy policy.
