How it works

Register

Register as an individual or create a team with cycling mates, friends and family. However you choose to ride, you’ll be pedalling with a welcoming community.

Fundraise and invite others to join you

Let people know you’re riding and grow your team by inviting mates, family and friends to join you. Share your fundraising page and encourage your network to support your ride – every dollar drives T1D research forward. With fundraising tools and local support behind you, you won’t do it alone.

Ride

Choose from ride routes of 40km, 80km, 120km and 160km, start training and join us in the Barossa Valley in November to cycle for a world without T1D.

Celebrate

Enjoy a themed dinner party at a secret location to celebrate your efforts! (Tickets for day riders can be purchased prior to the event.)

All cycling levels are welcome

All cycling levels are welcome, with fully supported 40km, 80km, 120km and 160km routes – finishing with a fun celebration dinner with your fellow riders!

"I ride the One Ride every year with one goal: a cure for my daughter. It’s a challenging, professionally run event that brings together a community that feels like family. Whether we’re swapping T1D stories or celebrating at the epic wrap-up party, the bond here is unbreakable. It’s the most rewarding weekend on my calendar."

Paul

“In 2022, at just 13 months old, my grandson Tex was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The fear and grief were overwhelming. Joining One Ride was my way of turning those emotions into action. What I didn’t expect was the incredible camaraderie – from the very first wheel turn, our team was lifted by a community united by hope. One Ride isn’t just about raising funds; it’s about standing shoulder to shoulder to turn type one into type none.”

Tammy

"People with type 1 diabetes have to make over 180 extra decisions a day. We have just 1, and that's to keep pedalling."
