I'm fundraising for a great cause!

I'm doing the JDRF One Ride to raise funds for type 1 diabetes! This means I will be riding on 29 November 2025 through the picturesque Barossa Valley. While I am challenging myself, I am also raising funds to help improve the lives of those living with type 1 diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and people living with type 1 diabetes face an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy. JDRF is the largest funder of type 1 diabetes research in the world.

Monday 18th Aug

Off to a week of learning at the Australian Diabetes Congress meeting. Participating in a Symposium on Friday, “Endocrinologist and Service Leader’s perspective of keeping up to date with diabetes tech”.

Bike will now have to wait until the weekend!

A very sad day

Monday 4th Aug

Peter was a patient of mine. He was taken by his diabetes in his sleep on Friday.

He liked wake boarding, quad bikes, cricket and football. He was a participant in previous One Ride events.

I will miss you Peter.
