What is the referral incentive?
Between 1 September 2024 and 31 October 2025, the top 5 One Ride participants who refer the most new riders will win an upgrade to a Spa Room at Novotel Barossa Valley plus a $200 South Australia welcome pack. If you’re on a Day Rider package, your prize will also include accommodation and a ticket to the Celebration Dinner.
What if I referred a rider before 22 August 2025?
No problem — just contact Breakthrough T1D with their details so we can backdate your referral.
What counts as a valid referral?
A referral only counts if your mate:

Completes their registration,
-
Pays the entry fee,
- Lists your name at the time of registration (or is confirmed by you for pre–22 August 2025 referrals); and,
- Is active and still intends to take part as at 31 October 2025.
Each participant can only list one referrer. If more than one person claims the same rider, the first referrer recorded will get the credit.
Do team registrations count as one referral or multiple?
Multiple! Each person who registers and names you counts as one referral.
What counts as a valid referral?
A referral only counts if your mate:

Pays the entry fee,
- Lists your name at the time of registration (or is confirmed by you for pre–22 August 2025 referrals); and,
- Is active and still intends to take part as at 31 October 2025.

How many prizes can I win?
Each participant can only win once.
How do I refer someone?
When your mate signs up for One Ride, they must enter your name in the “Referred by” field at registration. That way, you’ll be credited for the referral.

Do I need to fundraise as well?
Yes. Winners are chosen based on the highest number of valid referrals, but in the case of a tie, your fundraising total will be used as the tiebreaker.
What exactly are the prizes?
Each of the top 5 referrers will receive:

An upgrade from a Standard Room to a Spa Room at Novotel Barossa Valley (one room per rider, twin share if already booked that way),

A $200 welcome pack per room, filled with South Australian treats like wine and cheese,

Plus, if you’re a Day Rider, accommodation will be added to your package and you’ll also get a ticket to the Celebration Dinner.
When does the incentive end?
Referrals close at 11:59pm AEST on Friday, 31 October 2025.
When will winners be announced?
Winners will be confirmed by 5 November 2025. You’ll be notified by email and announced on the One Ride Facebook group.
What happens if I don’t accept my prize?
Winners must confirm within 7 days of being notified. If you don’t respond, the prize may be forfeited and offered to the next eligible entrant.
