Riding 120km's to change lives

It’s all about Baden.

In this my 60th year, I’m taking on the Breakthrough T1D One Ride to raise vital funds for type 1 diabetes research. On 21 November 2026, I’ll be cycling through the picturesque Barossa Valley - doing the best I can to get through as many kms as possible!

Baden was diagnosed at 4 years of age. He is living a great life, the best. His quality of life is as a direct result of past research. The technology he has access to, that helps him live his best life possible, only exists because of research.

Type 1 diabetes can affect anyone, at any time. Every day, 8 Australians are diagnosed. It’s a relentless 24/7 condition, requiring up to 180 extra decisions daily just to stay safe and healthy.

Breakthrough T1D is the largest funder of type 1 diabetes research in the world, driving life-changing breakthroughs for the 140,000+ Australians living with T1D.

Please donate today and help move us closer to a world without type 1 diabetes. Thank you for your support. :)
