Taking on my second endurance challenge since being diagnosed with T1D just three years ago...
I’m taking on the Breakthrough T1D One Ride to raise vital funds for type 1 diabetes research! On 21 November 2026, I’ll be cycling 160km through the Barossa Valley - pushing myself physically while riding for a powerful cause (and without any wine to keep me going!!)
T1D is an incurable autoimmune disease that requires constant management and vigilance, every single day. This challenge is not just about physical endurance - it’s about shedding light on the daily realities faced by those living with T1D. My goal is to raise awareness and foster understanding of what it truly means to live with T1D
I want to inspire others who are navigating this journey to know they are not alone - by pushing myself beyond my perceived limits, I hope to demonstrate that we are all stronger than we think
I am asking for your support in this endeavour - my goal is to raise $10,000 AUD for vital research through Breakthrough T1D. Without adequate management and research advancements for T1D, we wouldn’t be alive - and Breakthrough T1D is the largest funder of type 1 diabetes research in the world, driving life-changing breakthroughs for the 140,000+ Australians living with T1D
Please donate today and help move us closer to a world without type 1 diabetes. Thank you for your support!
